Status

Kalem is in its first version. Each stage ends working and visible.

The language's designDone.
A prototype to prove the rulesDone, and retired: the Rust VM gave the same results on 2,083 programs.
The core: values, random numbers, the native schema, bytecode, verifier, VMDone.
The front end: parser, type and effect checking, compiler, manifest, language server, kalem check and buildDone. Coming: the manifest moving into the compiler, kalem fmt.
The execution model: transactions, the order of work, lifecycle, errors, budgets; saving, loading, migration; the debuggerDone (kalem run).
The Go host and PlayDone: the C interface, the Go binding, Caria's calendar; Play runs worlds with their scenes. Coming: the live world (deploying), where the server keeps field values itself.
Visual behavioursDone in the browser (kalem-wasm, Play's view). Coming: the native library and SWIG, measuring on devices, signals over SSE in the live world.
ResidentsThe Character host type exists. A resident's own natives (walking) and the first resident behaviour come with the next version.
